Kapoho Village Inn Step
back in time, when railroads and sugarcane dominated Hawaii. This former railroad station now caters to visitors in
search of adventure. Sunshine, cooling tradewinds, and mountain glimpses all compliment it's choice hilltop location.
Those old timers really knew how to pick 'em! Our small hotel is nestled beside Green Mountain with its crater
lake, where you're only a short 5 minute drive to incredible snorkeling in the Kapoho tidepools, soaking in the
Ahalanui hot ponds, or catching a wave at Pohoiki. Continue down the enchanting "Red Road" to
find your own secret beach, or let it all hang out at Kehena's black sand beach. A little further, you might see
Madame Pele adding new lava to the island at Kalapana. Head mauka to the historic town of Pahoa,
with its colorful characters, eclectic shops, and fine dining. For those who crave even more action and nightlife,
we are now offering in-town accommodations; please see our Pahoa Townhouse page. Either way, in Puna,
on the eastern tip of the Big Island, you'll have the adventure of a lifetime!
